The Customs broker is responsible for relieving the assigned customer base of their logistical challenges. In this role, the specialist ensures that the operational process runs with the highest possible level of service, advises both internal and external customers in their area of expertise, and informs them of changes in laws and regulations. All of this is done with a commercial approach. Furthermore, the Customs broker is responsible for maintaining and expanding their own knowledge and network relevant to the organization, and is also responsible for sharing and training the internal organization.

The Customs broker is responsible for relieving the assigned customer base of their logistical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Operational execution and relieving assigned customers with a high level of service.
- Serving as a role model for the entire Eimskip Group and partially managing the operational organization.
- Facilitating knowledge transfer in their own specialization and changes within the field in the broadest sense.
- Undertaking commercial activities in cooperation with the Sales Department to achieve and facilitate further growth and development of the organization.
- Responsible for correct and timely financial settlement of the assigned customer base.
Qualifications
- Completed declarant training, completed Expert Customs Affairs training, and additional courses such as Fiscal Representation, Objection & Appeal, and BTI.
- Extensive experience with automated declaration systems for import, export, and transit declarations.
- Proactive in preventing errors and improving processes and procedures.
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Social skills for maintaining internal and external contacts.
- Good analytical skills, accuracy, and stress resistance.
- Service-oriented attitude.
