Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Our client is looking for an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to take full responsibility for the organization's information security strategy. In this role, you will safeguard critical digital assets, advise senior leadership, and ensure that security policies and measures are effectively implemented and maintained.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the organization-wide information security strategy and policies in line with BIO and ISO 27001 standards.
- Conduct and coordinate risk analyses across the organization and monitor the implementation of mitigation measures.
- Advise the board and management on risks, incidents, and emerging technologies.
- Lead incident and crisis management processes and drive continuous improvements.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements in agreements with suppliers and partners.
- Promote awareness and engagement around information security throughout the organization.
- Represent the organization in relevant security networks and forums.
What We're Looking For
- Academic-level education in a relevant field.
- Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, or CRISC (or equivalent).
- At least 5 years of experience in information security, including:
- 3 years in strategic advisory and governance.
- 2 years in a coordinating or leadership role.
- Experience with ISO 27001 and/or BIO, including preparation for BIO2.
- Background in environments with political or organizational complexity (e.g., government, finance, research).
- Excellent command of the Dutch language (non- negotiable)
