We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to manage day-to-day warehouse operations while leading a small team of two employees. This is not a desk-based management position. You will work directly alongside the team, taking responsibility for stock accuracy, incoming and outgoing goods, internal logistics and the movement of high-value technical components between the warehouse and workshop. The role is particularly suited to someone with experience in a technical, industrial or spare-parts warehouse environment who combines natural leadership with a practical, hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
-
Lead and support a small warehouse team of two employees while remaining actively involved in daily operations.
-
Manage incoming goods, order preparation and dispatches to customers.
-
Coordinate internal logistics between the warehouse and technical workshop.
-
Maintain accurate stock control across finished products, spare parts and high-value technical components.
-
Ensure careful handling and traceability of valuable and technically complex inventory.
-
Coordinate the movement of components to the workshop for assembly or modification and their return for final shipment.
-
Manage logistics related to a separate short-term rental operation.
-
Maintain efficient warehouse processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
-
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth material and product flows.
-
Support the ongoing development and improvement of the service and logistics organisation.
-
Occasionally support deliveries or activities at customer sites.
Requirements
-
Around 5 years of relevant experience in warehousing, logistics, stock management or a similar operational environment.
-
Previous experience leading, coordinating or supervising warehouse employees.
-
Strong preference for experience within a technical, industrial, machinery, spare-parts or similar warehouse environment.
-
Comfortable working hands-on alongside the team rather than managing solely from an office.
-
Strong stock-control skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling high-value inventory.
-
Autonomous and confident, with strong problem-solving skills and natural authority.
-
Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across departments.
-
Fluent/native Dutch and professional English.
-
Valid Category B driving licence is required.
-
C1 or small-truck driving licence is an advantage.
-
Willingness to occasionally visit customer sites.
-
Ability to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) as part of the final recruitment process.
Benefits
-
Full-time, 12-month employment contract.
-
A responsible position combining team leadership with hands-on warehouse operations.
-
Opportunity to contribute directly to the development and improvement of logistics processes.
-
Small team environment with significant autonomy and ownership.
-
Work involving specialised technical equipment and high-value inventory.
